Steve Cram Training Camps
Extra Mile Media & Events, Kiln Rigg, Wall, Hexham NE46 4EQ
We welcomed a very special guest to Rutland, Marathon World Record holder Paula Radcliffe. Paula got stuck in straight away taking some of our campers on a welcome jog giving such a unique opportunity to learn from the best. As we learnt from Paula even the simplest of tips can help every kind of runner right from beginners to elites.
Our industry professionals included camp regulars Paul Hobrough owner of local physiotherapy clinic Physio & Therapy, and Louise Sutton, lecture in Sport and Exercise nutrition at Leeds Beckett Uni. We also welcomed Professor Steve Peters author of the Chimp Paradox who gave an enthraling Friday evening insight into the runners mind.
Our Saturday sessions included a fartlek session before a team relay where one of our campers managed to out kick Paula on the last leg! With a lot of miles in the tank some of our campers were lucky enough to try out a unique recovery experience with CRYOPOD.
A unique mobile facility offering single person cryotherapy treatments, the process of using sub-zero temperatures to deliver healing, restorative and longevity benefits to the human body.
Thank you to all of our inaugural guests and campers, we hope to see you again next year!
